For the first time since the pandemic, a national-level motorcycle racing competition 'Nepal Racer Cup 2022' was recently held in Himalayan Motorland, Dhulikhel. The racing event which was organized by Motor Sports Nepal in association with Nepal Automobiles' Association (NASA) saw the participation of 72 contestants - 48 in the 150cc class and 24 in the 250cc class.Sandeep Ghimire emerged victorious in the 150cc class while Sujan Thapa Magar and Mahesh Rana Magar grabbed the second and third positions respectively. Similarly, Raj Kumar Karki clinched the first position in the 250cc class while Biwesh Shrestha and Bhim Hona stood runner-ups.Similarly, Veedol Lubricants, handed over Rs 5000 to contestant no. 16 Nikita Gajurel in appreciation of her participation and courage.The prizes were distributed among the winners by NASA Chief Advisor Govinda Bhattarai, Chairman Dasharath Risal and General Secretary Sushil Tandukar, Chairman of Motor Sports Nepal Binod Tandukar, NASA officials Ashish Lamichhane and Santosh Neupane, and representatives from different companies.
